Nepal is a multi religious country in Asia. Nepalies people fallows different religious such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Jain, Sikhism, Kirant, etc. All of them have their own religious heritage. 

Pashupatinath

It is the biggest holi place of all the Hindu people around the world. It is situated in kapatil of Nepal, Kathmandu. Pasupatinath area was enlisted in World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1972 AD. Pasupati area include the temple of Pashupatinath, Deupatan, Jaya Bageshori, Gaurighat, Kutumbahal,etc. There are about 492 temples, Chaityas, Satals etc. There are about thousand Shivalingas in Pashupatinath area.

Swyambhunath

It is the holi place for both Hindu and Buddhist. It is situated I centre Kathmandu. There are the chaitya of Swyambhu, temple of Manjushree and Ajima. The biggest statue of Lord Buddha is located here. It is believed that this temple was constructed before 5th century. This place was enlisted in World Heritage by UNESCO in 1979 AD. Along with the Stupas and idols of Buddha there is the temple of Hindu goddess Saraswati so this place is regarded as the symbol of religious tolerance.

Ram Janaki Temple

It is located in south part of Nepal called Janakpur near India border. It is one of the famous holy places of Hindus. It is believed that this temple was constructed by the Queen Brishbhanu Kumari of Tikamgadh. This temple is full of Mithila art and architecture. It is constructed in Shikhar style. It gives the identity of our country. This temple is also called “Naulakha Mandir” because its construction on 28th Magh 1967 BS with cost nine hundred thousand rupees.

Jame Masque

It is located is the hert of Kathmandu valley near the clock tower. It is the most popular holy place of Nepalese Muslim community. Every Friday people from Muslim community gather here to pray. They also visit the Masque during Islam festival like Id, Bakra Id, Ramjan,etc. People also come here for Namaj.

Larumba

It is an important holy place of Kirant community of Nepal. It is located in eastern part of Nepal called Ilam district. Kirant people gather here to celebrate their festival. They worship their God according to their culture and read Mundhum. They offer flowers, cloth, money, some delicious food and grain to god but animal sacrificing, drinking alcohol and smoking is prohibited here.

Assumption Church

It is the holy place of Christian. It is Located at Kathmandu valley Dhobighat of Lalitpur. Mostly people gather here on Saturday to pray to Jesus Christ. Christian people come here during Christmas and other festival. It was constructed in 1955 AD.
