Tent Peak Climbing

After you take breakfast, we’ll brief you on our upcoming adventure and then take you on a sightseeing tour around Kathmandu, including several UNESCO World Heritage sites. You can spend the rest of the day preparing for your upcoming trek.

Today we begin our journey to the Pokhara, which is about 6/7 hour along the trisuli river and several village. It is really scenic drive. When we reach in Pokhara you have free time to see the beautiful valley pokhara. Overnight at hotel.

We start our journey to the mountain. In the morning we drive to Nayapul and start our trekking along the Modi River and several village. This is really nice walking and we can meet many tourint along the trail. After the 4/5 walk we reach to Jhinu Danda, where we spend the night. Jhinu danda is popular for natural hot spring so in the evening you can visit the hot spring which is 20 minute down from the guest house in the bank of Modi River. Overnight at guesthouse.

Today we begin our journey after the breakfast. We ascend the Chhomrong village about one our and descent to the River and Again steep ascend to upper Sinuwa. We will have lunch there and continue trek to Bamboo for overnight. Overnight at guesthouse.

After the breakfast we begin our journey in the deep Bamboo forest.Today chance to see the some wild animal and birds along the trail. Today we pass just two commercial place Dovan and Himalaya, after then we reach to Deurali. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Today we walk alongside the Modi Khola till the MBC. If weather will be bad it is very difficult to walk from Deurali ti MBC. It very danger zone for avalanche and rock falling. Annapurna base camp is the very popular place from where we can see incredible mountain view include Annapurna I. Overnight at Guesthouse.

There will be a short briefing about the climbing today. Our climbing sherpa will talk about what we can look forward to during the Tent Peak climbing. There will also be a basic training on peak climbing techniques and the best ways to utilize the climbing gears such as ice axe, climbing boot, harness, jumar, and to go up and down using ropes. Additionally, we also learn about knots and gears. Shikhar Adventure believes that the training will help boost our confidence ensuring a successful summit of the Tent Peak. We can spend the rest of the afternoon going for short hikes nearby and resting. Overnight at Guesthouse.

We move ahead on a trail alongside the Modi Khola. After walking for some time, we see the South Annapurna Glacier to our right. The trail from the glacier leads up to the base camp of Annapurna South. However, we move straight ahead and cross a bridge and continue further up until we reach the Cave camp. We ascend on a steep trail to the Tent Peak (Tharpu Chuli) High Camp. We are most likely to use fix rope and helmet while climbing today. We ascend on a 50-60 degree steep path for around 2-3 hours and walk on a glacier of 30 degrees. From the high camp we get panoramic views of Hiunchuli (6441m), Annapurna South (7229m), Annapurna I (8091m), Machapuchhre and others. After setting up the high camp, we spend the remainder of the day discovering the surrounding areas and preparing for the summit. Overnight at tented camp.

We begin our journey to the summit around 2-3 am in the morning. We walk on a wall rock for around 2 hours and then we walk on flat snow for around an hour. Next, we climb on a steep slope of 70 degrees around 100 meters. Then we walk on a flat trail for around 30 minutes and reach the summit of Tent Peak/ Tharpu Chuli. We climb on fix ropes to reach the final summit. After conquering Tharpu Chuli, we return by the same route to the high camp. Overnight at tented camp.

From the high camp we descend on the same trail we used coming up to Bamboo. We can enjoy views of waterfalls and pass through forests soaking in great views of Machapuchhre and Hiunchuli mountains. Overnight at Guesthouse.

From Dovan we descent to bamboo and again ascent to the Sinuwa. We have lunch at Sinuwa and trek down to river and agai ascent to the Chhomrung village. Overnight at Guest house.

Today we trek to the Ghandruk village. Ghandruk is very famous Gurung village,from the village, we get a good view of Machapuchhre, Annaurna South, and Hiunchuli mountians. Overnight at Guesthouse.

Today is the last day trek in the mountain. So we will say good bye to the mountain and trek down to the sauli bazaar about two hour and continue trek to Nayapul along the motorable road. We drive back from Nayapaul to Pokhara about an hour. In the evening we can celebrate dinner with all for successful trip. Overnight at hotel.

After breakfast, we drive towards Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu we have the rest of the day and in the evening we will provide fare well dinner in typical Nepali restaurant with culture program. Overnight at hotel.
