Kathmandu Lhasa overland tour

Today we start our journey with scenic drive to Kirong border (Nepal-Tibet Border) through the beautiful Nepalese countryside and Langtang and ganesh Himalaya range. After necessary border formalities at Nepalese immigration, an hour adventurous uphill drive by Bus/jeep to reach Chinese immigration. We complete our formalities in Chinese immigration and continue drive to Kirong for overnight stay. Overnight at guest house. Breakfast included.

We start our journey after the breakfast and drive uphill to the highest plateau of the world with the typical view of Tibetan landscape offering beautiful mountain standing on the roof of the world. From this place we can see magnificent view of Mt. Cho Oyu (8201 M) & Mt Xishapagma (8012M) and we can see the many more peak in Tibetan Himalaya. From the Tingri we can see closed view of Mt. Today we start our journey after the breakfast with continue scenic drive crossing Over Gyatchu La (5,220M). This is the highest pass in this trip from where the road to seprate for the Mt. Kailash and Manasarovar in the west. Overnight at hotel. Breakfast included.

In the morning we are sightseeing in Panchen Lama's Tashilhumpu Monastery in Xigatse. After the breakfast we drive to the Gyantse city about one and half hour. When we reach in Gyantse we check in our hotel and sightseeing around Kumbum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery. Overnight stay at hotel. Breakfast included.

Today is the last destination for our trip so we will be excited to see the capital of Tibet Lhasa. Today we drive crossing high pass Karo-la (5,010m), Kamba-la (4,749m), Colorful Yamdrok-Tso Lake and the Tibetan lifestyle along the Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo) river and finally we reach in Lhasa. Overnight at hotel. Breakfast included.

Lhasa lies on the northern bank of the Lhasa river, a tributary of the yarlung Zangbo river. Covering an area of 31,622 square km, the city is home to more then 30 ethnic groups including Tibetan, Han and Hui, And the Tibetans account for over 87% of the total populations. The city has a highland monsoon climate. Almost all grain and cash crops found in Tibet can be grown here. Its medicinal herbs include Chinese Caterpillar fungus, caladium, rhodiola, ginseng fruit, musk and pilose antler. Its wildlife includes wild Yak, Wild ass, Mongolia gazelles, and Tibetan antelopes. Its traditional handicrafts include waist knives, cushions, carpets, aprons, wooden bowls and gold and silver jewelries. Lhasa has opened more than 200 scenic spout but we visit some major place such as Potala place, Jokhang Temple, Norbu Lingka, Sera Monastery, Dalai Lama Summer place and Bharkhor market. If you have more time you can visit other scenic place such as Nam Tso lake, Lhalu Wetland, Dezong hot spring and nature reserves in Lhunzhub and Mizhukongka. Overnight at hotel. Breakfast included.

Early morning drive to Gonggar airport after the breakfast about an hour. We fly from the china southern airlines to Kathmandu which takes about one and half hour. When you arrive in Kathmandu airport you will met our staff and transferred the the hotel. In the evening we will provide you fare well dinner at the typical Nepali restaurant with culture program.
