So, let's embark on this journey together, and I'll share with you the essence of this unique destination.

As you venture into Upper Mustang, it's akin to stepping through a portal to a bygone era. Until 1992, this was a 'prohibited area,' hidden from the outside world. The former Lo Kingdom, encircled by age-old stone walls, provides an immersive cultural experience. Here, Tibetan traditions enrich daily life, and moreover, the locals celebrate various festivals, each adding an extra layer of enchantment to your adventure. The allure of Upper Mustang doesn't end with its people. Mysterious caves, seemingly suspended high on cliff sides, invite exploration. Simultaneously, panoramic vistas of snow-capped peaks offer a glimpse of nature's magnificence.

Why Upper Mustang?

Upper Mustang beckons with a charm unlike any other. Stepping into this 'prohibited area' turned adventurer's paradise is like a step back in time. The former Lo Kingdom, enclosed by ancient stone walls, offers a unique cultural experience. Rich Tibetan traditions, vibrant festivals, and intriguing caves suspended high on cliffs create a tapestry of wonders.

At Shikhar Adventure, we ensure that your expedition is timed perfectly for optimal weather conditions.
