Goshainkunda is one of the famous pilgrimage destinations of the Nepal, which is situated at 4360m. an altitude from the sea label. The best approach to Gosinkunda is through Dhunche, 135km. northeast to the Kathmandu. Dhunche is linked with Kathmandu by a motor able road. Surrounded by high mountains on north and south, the lake is grand and picturesque. There is several famous lake such as Saraswati kunda, Bhairab kunda, Surya kunda, Ganesh kunda etc. This is the Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage site where we can visit throughout the year. But In spring (March to May) and autumn (September to December) is the best time to visit there. In the August there will be a big festival in full moon time so many Hindu and Buddhist people visit there. Shikhar adventure organizes this trip from by road or by helicopter upon your request. Detailed Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.

A representative from Shikhar Adventure will welcome you our hotel. We will prepare you with information and gear for your trek.

Day 02: Pre-trip Meeting and Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley.

After you take breakfast, we’ll brief you on our upcoming adventure and then take you on a sightseeing tour around Kathmandu, including several UNESCO World Heritage sites. You can spend the rest of the day preparing for your upcoming trek.

Day 03: Drive to Dhunche (1940meters). About 6 hours.

Today we begin our journey after the breakfast about 8:00 am. We drive to Dhunche, which is 145km and it takes about 5/6 hour to reach there. Today we scenic drive to Dhunche through the beautiful terraced filled, several village such as Trisuli, Betrawati, Kalikastham, Ramche and finally we reach to Dhunche.

Day 04: Trek to Chandanbari (2410 meters) about 6 hours.

We ascent to the Deurali after the breakfast in Dhunche which takes nearly 3/4 hour.Probably we will have lunch there, after lunch we will continue ascent to the Chandanbari with the views of Langtang Himal, Ganesh Himal, Tibetan Mountain, Hemlock and forests. There is a well managed local cheese factory and a Buddhist Monastery. Chandanbari provides panoramic views, exhilarating nature and a yak cheese factory. The cheese manufactured here is considered the best in Nepal.

Day 05: Trek to Lauribina (3550m) about4/5 hour.

Today we walk in high alpine, after a couple of hour we finish the tree line walk in the high mountain. Today is very chance to see some wild life such as Red Panda, Musk Deer, some pheasant and many other wild life. Tonight we stay at Lauribina, from where we can see clear view of Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Manaslu, Annapurna, Paldor and many more snow capped peak.

Day 06: Trek to Goshain Kunda (4380 meters) about 4 hours.

Today we head to our dream destination Goshainkunda which is famous Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage site as well as popular trekking destination. We start in the after breakfast which take about 2/3 hour to reach there. When you reach there you have free day today look around. Goshainkunda is an altitude of 4380m from the sea label so it will be frozen in winter season. If you are holy person you can take a bath and puja at lake. There are nine lake around the Goshainkunda, if you interested you can visit some of them.

Day 07: Trek back to Dhunche (1940m) About 5 hours.

In the Morning you can walk around the lake and bath if you are interested. After the breakfast We trek down to Dhunche via Lauribina, Chandanbari and Deurali which takes about 7/8 hour. Today is the last day of your trek so you can celebrate your trip in Dhunche with your guide and porter.

Day 08: Drive back to Kathmandu.

Today we drive back to the Kathmandu via same route. When you have arrived in Kathmandu you have free time for last minute shopping and trekkers foot massage. In the evening we will provide you farewell dinner at typical Nepali restaurant with culture program.

Day 09: Back to home
