The ancient city of Patan, which is 5km south from Kathmandu. It is considered as oldest city in all three cities in Kathmandu valley. The city is full of Hindu temple and Buddhist monuments. It is founded I third century A.D. by King Veera Dev. The most important monument area, of course is Patan Darbar Square. The Patan city covered these major place:

Patan Darbar Square:-  Many monuments in this square belong to the medieval Malla period 15th to 17th century. Golden temple is main important thing in this area and Golden window of the old place, the beautiful piece of traditional metal craft, the famed Krishna temple with 21 golden pinnacles, the Royal bath of the sundari chock, a perfect piece of the classic work in the stone. Royal Taleju temple, Vishwa narayan temple are the finest example of the unique craftsmanship in wood. The temple of Bhimsen with the magnificent golden balcony overlooking the square outside including many other shrines and sculptures scattered in and around the square. This area bit destroyed by quack at 25 April 2015 and still it is in under construction but it is opened for visitors.

Krishna Mandir:-   This temple was build by King Siddhi Narshingh Malla in 1635 A.D. It is a very imaginative architectural masterpiece, a standing example of Newar craftsmanship in stone. It is made by only stone. The temple have three storied. The main shrine is on the first floor the contains the images of lord Krishna with his two consorts. You can also noticed the decorations on the  lintels. These beautiful carving are scenes and events from the two great Hindu epics, the Ramayana and the Mahabharat. Some of the stone carving also present the miraculous feats of Lord Krishna. Even the doors and windows are sculptures made out of stone. In front of the temple, on a high monolith, you can also see a bronze Garuda in sitting posture. Garuda is an vehicle of Lord Vishnu whose eighth incarnation of lord Krishna.

Patan Mahabuddha: A little further east from patan Darbar Square lies this Buddhist temple made of clay bricks in which thousands of image of Lord Buddha are engraved. The tara-cotta structure is one of the fourteenth century nepales architectural masterpieces. These places are partly damage by massive Earthquake at 25 Apri 2015 and it is in under construction bur it is open for visitors. Shikhar Adventure everyday organize the day tour upon your request.

Day 01: Patan Sightseeing.

Today we start our journey after the breakfast at hotel. We pick up from your place and drive to the 5 km. south from Kathmandu. Patan is famous for stone and wood carving. We explore all day in patan area with expert tour guide and evening drive back to your hotel.
