Chitwan is a must-see spot for tourists visiting Nepal. After trekking in the mountains, the Chitwan Jungle Safari is the next most popular destination. It exemplifies Nepal’s unique range of incredible landscapes. The word itself Chitwan means “heart of the jungle.” The park is situated in the southern part of Nepal, in the lowlands of the Terai region, and is home to a myriad of animals and birds (some of them endangered), including the Royal Bengal tiger and the one-horned rhinoceros. Travel with us through the misty, humid forests and into the lost world of Chitwan National Park, where you never know what lurks around the next corner.
Chitwan National Park is considered one of the finest wildlife reserves in Asia. There are more than 43 species of mammals, over 450 species of birds, and more than 45 species of amphibians and reptiles in the reserve. After the elephant ride, we’ll take a canoe ride through the murky river waters, giving us a whole new perspective on the wildlife and landscapes of the park.
