About Trip

The glorious Mera Peak lies in the Everest region, a place unlike anywhere in the world.  Mera Peak Climbing is considered a trekking peak with three main summits: Mera North (6476 meters), Mera Central(6461 meters), and Mera South(6065 meters). From the top of Mera Peak’s summit, you are gifted with what many consider as the best view in the Himalaya.  It is absolutely mind-blowing the sheer size and beauty of the mountains that surround you. There are five visible 8,000m-plus peaks:  Mount Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kangchenjunga (5 of the 6 tallest peaks in the world). For experienced climbers, it is a straightforward ascent, the main hurdle being proper acclimatization to the high altitude. However, with proper training and guidance (and a high dose of determination), beginners can take on this climb.

Mera Peak Climbing, the highest trekking peak in Nepal,is physically demanding. With every good challenge, though, comes great rewards.  At the summit of Mera Peak, we will have the most spectacular view of entire Himalayan ranges.Your mouth will be wide open in awe as you reach the top. It is one of the most incredible in all of Nepal’s Himalaya. Savor your moments up there, taking some deep breaths and many photos.  After the descent, there are plenty of options for continuing the trek if you’d like.  We can descend to Chhukung Valley, and up to Everest Base Camp, or Kalapatthar.  Let us know and we can tailor the package to your wishes.

Climbers, regardless of their level of experience, are highly recommended to participate acclimatization before attempting to climb. Conveniently, our itinerary has been organized to maximize time for acclimatization. However, if you would like to change the itinerary to allow for more or less time, please let us know. The climbing conditions and itinerary allow adequate time for any reasonably physically fit person to make easy way up of this most spectacular of Nepal’s trekking peaks.

Climbing is possible throughout the year, but Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) provide the best weather.  During the Spring, there is a bit more color and the rhododendrons are blooming, and in the Autumn months, the skies are generally clearer.  The Mera Peak Climbing requires fitness and acclimatization to avoid acute mountain sickness. Shikhar Adventure arranges the trek with complete management. Please, feel free to contact us for more detailed information.
