Trip of a Lifetime

On top of the world (Well, almost!)

Imagine waking up to the sight of the world's tallest summit. i.e., Mt. Everest.
Will you not have a divine smile on your face?

The one and only Everest Base Camp Trek can offer you this.

This world-famous trek brings you within eyeshot of the world’s highest mountain – Mt. Everest (8848m). Our Everest Base Camp Trek is a rough-terrain trip up into the Himalayas that rewards those who complete it with breathtaking sights.

After a short, scenic flight to Lukla, we begin our trek full of excitement along the route dubbed by some as the “path to the heaven”.  The following day, after passing through Sherpa villages and their fields, we reach Namche Bazaar – a trekking and trading hub of the region where we can spend time with the kindhearted Sherpa ethnic group.  We pass several Tibetan Buddhist Chortens (Stupas) followed by the Mani walls and Monasteries - Tengboche Monastery being the largest and most well-known. From here, the incredible alpine landscape fills us with energy.

When we arrive at Everest Base Camp (5364m), we are struck by the pure splendor of this alpine zone. Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and other Himalayan peaks higher than 8000 meters may be seen during the Everest Base Camp Trek. The views of the dangerous Khumbu Icefall and adjacent glaciers are breathtaking. Following that, we travel to Kala Patthar (5540m), which provides a panoramic view of high peaks as well as the Khumbu Glacial Valley. We return to Namche Bazaar, feeling revitalized, and finally fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla.

Trekking is feasible all year, although the finest seasons are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). There is more color in the spring when the rhododendrons are blossoming, and the sky are often clearer in the autumn months. To avoid extreme mountain sickness, the Everest Base Camp Trek necessitates fitness and acclimatization. Shikhar Adventure organizes the expedition from start to finish.
